A clear overview of glasstec 2014: Trend Compass and Industry Guide

From 21 to 24 October, the event calendar will once again feature the world’s most important trade fair for the glass branch, glasstec.

For this year’s glasstec edition, again approx. 1,150 companies from about 50 countries are expected.  To gain an overview of the trade fair’s innovations even before its opening, the “Trendcompass” at www.glasstec-online.com will be online at the beginning of September showing the way to the exhibitors’ innovations. It lists and bundles innovations in various thematic fields. These trend categories are: “Optimisation of process and product quality in glass manufacturing”, “Innovative technologies for thin-glass production”, “Innovative and smart glass for architecture, interiors and vehicles”, “Technical glass and special glass types as well as innovative thin glass (including fibre-optic applications)”, “Lightweight and tough hollow and packaging glass”, “New products for processing in the glazier trade”, and “Recycling of glass composites”.

Furthermore, the glasstec website again features the Industry Guide with target group-specific overviews of the entire range of products shown by glasstec exhibitors and the issues addressed in the supporting programmes for the core target groups  “Mechanical Engineering”, “Manufacturing, Processing, Finishing”, “Crafts”, “Architecture and Construction”, “Windows and Façades”, and “Solar”. The extensive supporting programme presented at glasstec 2014 for these target groups consists of the special themes, “glass technology live” with its associated symposium, the “Crafts Center” with its new feature “Handwerk LIVE” (Crafts LIVE), the “Autoglass Arena” and the “glass art” exhibition, as well as the “Façade Center” including the “Professional Center Glass + Façade”, and the new “efnMobil”. The glasstec conference programme includes the “Architecture Congress”, the scientific conference on “engineered transparency” and the “Solar meets Glass” conference.

Using the online content consisting of Trendcompass and Industry Guide in combination with the exhibitor database featured under “Companies and Products” and the additional services offered on the website, a comprehensive and targeted preparation is possible for your visit of glasstec 2014.
