Appointment in Glaston’s Executive Management Group and Change in Reporting Segments

Date: 18 December 2013

Juha Liettyä, member of Glaston’s Executive Management Group, has been appointed SVP, Machines Business Area as of 1 January, 2014.

Juha Liettyä is currently head for the Machines Business Area’s Heat Treatment product line. Juha Liettyä joined Glaston in 1986 and has been a member of the Executive Management Group since 2007.

The appointment is part of the streamlining of decision making in the Machines Business Area and a new SVP, Heat Treatment product line, will not be appointed. SVP, Pre-processing and Tools, Roberto Quintero returns from Italy to Finland for personal reasons at the end of 2013.

On 1 January 2014 Glaston transfers the sales and manufacturing of tools from the Machines segment to the Services segment. The transfer enables a more efficient customer service as the customer’s contact persons and logistic network are the same and gives a possibility to secure an even better customer experience and benefit. The first interim report of 2014 will be prepared in accordance with the new business structure.

The Machines segment is divided into two product lines: Heat Treatment, which comprises  manufacturing and sale of glass tempering, bending and laminating machines and Pre-processing, which as of 1 January, 2014 comprises manufacturing and sale of glass pre-processing machines. As of 1.1.2014 the Services segment includes maintenance and service of glass processing machines and sale of spare parts and upgrades as well as sale and manufacturing of tools.
