Leminur Ltd. Acquires License from Research Frontiers to Make and Market SPD-Smart Architectural Window Products

Leminur Ltd. of Moscow, Russia has acquired a non-exclusive license from Research Frontiers Incorporated to manufacture and sell SPD-Smart architectural window products in the Russian Federation, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. The license provides for a 10% royalty to Research Frontiers on sales of licensed products.

Users of SPD-Smart products can manually or automatically "tune" the amount of light, glare and heat that comes into a home, office or vehicle. SPD-Smart products offer functional and aesthetic benefits such as savings on heating and cooling expenses, reduced fading of fabrics and artwork, and the ability to control light and glare without losing prized views to blinds and curtains. Information about SPD-Smart products can be found at www.SmartGlass.com.

Leminur Ltd. plans to actively showcase its SPD-Smart products in the region. These plans include the opening of a consumer showroom to demonstrate a variety of SPD-Smart architectural products, including windows, glass walls and glass doors. The company plans to advertise SPD products in architectural magazines, and it also plans to exhibit its products at many industry trades shows including the Glass Russia 2004 exhibition in April. Leminur also has named Glass Engineering Ltd. (Moscow, Russia) as its first authorized dealer of SPD-Smart architectural products.

Leminur Ltd. is the first company licensed by Research Frontiers headquartered in Russia and with a marketing plan focused on the countries of the former Soviet Union. According to Alexander Khromov, Commercial Director of Leminur Ltd., "This market is rapidly developing and we are eager to work with Research Frontiers and its supply infrastructure to bring SPD-Smart to the people of Russia and the neighboring countries in the region."
