New machinery gives TuffX clear advantages

Date: 29 March 2013

TuffX Processed Glass one of the UK’s leading specialist glass processors has recently invested in new state-of-the-art equipment to help improve efficiency and profitability at the firm.

New machinery that has recently been installed at the Widnes based site includes an Adelio Delta which senior management consider will place the company ahead of competitors. The new machine has improved production times and output as manufacturing speeds are now three times faster. Graham Price considered it was imperative to invest in new machinery at the company in order to accommodate the increase in demand for TuffX products.

With the new installation, the TuffX team can now process various types of glass which consequently will enable the company to handle more complicated projects. With a priority placed on supplying customers with only the highest quality in terms of products and support services this investment will help to further raise standards.

The Adelio Delta offers many benefits to production methods including the ability to automatically grind corners when processing radium and straight corners, whilst shapes can be perfectly polished in a single transit. One particular advantage of the machinery is that it can process the glass in a continuous cycle.  Other key benefits include the Adelio Delta’s ability to process certain corners without the need for cutting.

Already the new machinery at TuffX has already proven to be significantly faster with output increasing significantly since installation.

Graham Price, Managing Director, TuffX comments, “We consider this company is pro-active and provides excellent standards.  This investment has been important in order to further establish the TuffX brand and place the company ahead in this market sector.  We are delighted with the results so far achieved with the new equipment.”

He concludes, “TuffX continues to lead the market in the glass processing sector and we are committed to providing only the best in terms of products and customer support which will always be of paramount importance to the entire TuffX team..”
