SmartGlass combines the functionality of an opaque wall with the style and lighting of clear glass allowing for an innovative and intriguing use of space. An electronic curtain system had originally been specified and partially installed.However, the client decided and insisted on removing this option due to the anticipated cost and effort associated with the continuous maintenance and up-keep of this system.

Due to the relative lack of maintenance and up-keep associated with Privacy Smartglass, it was selected and installed instead.

The Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel, designed by Woods Bagot, features 460 stunning guestrooms. The Hotel is adjoined to Manama’s Bahrain City Centre Mall featuring a shoppers paradise with over 350 shops, Wahoo! indoor water park, 20-cinema complex, and a wide range of entertainment facilities.
