The Glass Processing & Technology Show 2003: The Future Of Glass Has Arrived

 The countdown is now underway for the start of the UKs first and only trade exhibition dedicated to the glass industry: The Glass Processing & Technology (GP&T) exhibition and conference. A much anticipated event, GP&T will take place in Hall 1 of the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, on 11th, 12th and 13th November 2003 and is expected to draw a great deal of attention from glass professionals worldwide.
Whilst the most recent developments in glass technology and production have resulted in what is perhaps the most exciting time for glass in 40 years, these considerable changes have also demanded a steep learning curve for many within the industry. Glass technology is, in fact, forging ahead so fast that it is often difficult to keep up with all the latest developments whilst also running a business on a day-to-day basis.
GP&T aims to provide a comprehensive showcase and conference programme that will guide industry professionals through the maze of different glass and glazing solutions now available, giving them the knowledge, understanding and insight they need to benefit their business. Over 100 major exhibitors will be hosting stands at the event, showing dozens of new products and services. These include some of the industrys best-known brands: Pilkington, for example, will use GP&T to promote brand awareness of Pilkington Activ self-cleaning glass and to participate in an Architectural Glass Forum as part of the GP&T conference programme. Leading glass machinery supplier Promac Group, another from the prestigious list of launch partners for this new event, will be featuring the new EG2200 automatic vertical arrissing machine as part of a complete automated IG line from For.El. Other major industry names exhibiting at the event include Glaverbel, Ritec, Tamglass, Bystronic Lenhardt and Rankins.
In addition to the wealth of products available for view for the first time at GP&T 2003, there will also be a programme of conference modules that will offer unusual insight and invaluable information. These include seminars hosted by the Glass & Glazing Federation, Glass Processing Days UK and The Architectural Glass Forum, hosted by Pilkington Activ and supported by the leading architectural industry magazine, The Architects Journal.
