More Taxes for Illinois Businesses

Illinois businesses are not happy. They say new tax legislation hit hard. PPG Industries in Mt. Zion is one of those businesses. The company relies on a natural gas to make all of its' glass products. But now, it will pay a lot more for the natural gas it has been using for years.

Trucking, savings and loan applications, and waste inspections will also cost more. There are almost 110 new business taxes in Illinois this year.
