Guardian Will Showcase the Latest in Advanced Glass Innovation At Glasstec, World’s Largest Glass Trade Fair

Guardian Industries will highlight its 2012 product launches while showcasing a comprehensive array of commercial, residential and interior glass products and solutions at Stand E34 in Hall 10 at Glasstec Oct. 23-26 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

“Our Glasstec exhibit illustrates glass innovation for every day applications,” said Scott Thomsen, president Guardian Global Glass Group. “We are demonstrating technological advances that are in tune with the needs of today. Customers will find advanced glass solutions that give them a competitive edge.”

He added that Guardian’s “value added products and services help make possible net zero buildings, which combined with our value chain efficiencies, make it an exciting time for architects, designers and builders to use glass both inside and out.”

Visitors to Guardian’s display at Stand E34 / Hall 10 at Glasstec 2012 will experience the latest advancements in glass products, as part of Guardian’s “glass innovation section”: These include:

SunGuard EC, a variable tint, electrochromic glass for commercial and residential applications

SunGuard PVGU, the world’s first triple value, energy-generating, building integrated photovoltaic glass (BIPV)

    • Guardian’s VIG (vacuum insulated glass) providing the company’s highest R-value

    • Guardian Switchable glass, for when instant privacy is required

    • IET Advanced Spacer, integrating thermal performance and cost efficiency

Also on display will be Guardian SunGuard, ClimaGuard and InGlass products.

Guardian SunGuard advanced architectural glass products are high performance solar and low-E glass for commercial applications. SunGuard allows architects to build with light in a wide variety of colours and performance levels.

The Guardian ClimaGuard residential glass family enhances window performance through solar and energy control, UV fade protection, noise reduction and security.

Guardian InGlass, which is a glass portfolio for interior applications, will also be part of Guardian’s featured products. The technology behind InGlass gives architects and interior designers capabilities that ordinary glass does not – from scratch resistance and light control to shower protection and security.

In addition, Guardian SunGuard EC, in partnership with Soladigm, will be present at “Glass Technology Live” in Hall 11. Glass Technology Live has established itself as the leading international glass innovation showcase over the last few years. Visitors will see pioneering glass developments such as the latest solar products and BIPV applications, façade mock-ups and large-size models.
