Promac supports suppliers at Glasstec

Out in force once again supporting suppliers at Europe’s largest glass show, machinery giant Promac is busy putting plans in place for its attendance at Glasstec this October.

Joe Hague, Group Commercial Director at Promac explains:”As usual, For.El has exciting plans to showcase its innovation in machinery, and this year, visitors to their stand (Hall 16, A23) will be able to see its revolutionary new vertical laminated glass cutting table, upgraded to further reduce handling, time and waste. Also launching to the wider European market place, is the Essential Line which is already proving popular in the UK thanks to its affordable access to higher IGU productivity. For.El will also showcase an IGU line capable of running jumbo sheets and includes the revolutionary quality control system and projector ‘Eye Guide’. The revolutionary Single and Double Headed Vertical Grinder for squares and shapes will also be on display and our colleagues from For.El and our team from Promac will be on hand throughout the show to demonstrate all of the equipment as well as answer any questions.

“Promac will also be offering support to Macotec (Hall 16, A75) the Master Shape 37 FR – an automatic shape cutting table for float glass offering the latest technology in glass cutting. Achieving 220 m/min, ±0,15mm, the Master Shape 37 is exceptionally quiet due to racks with angled teeth and recirculating ball guides. The sheet loading is simple thanks to automatic loading arms and the start of the cutting process is automatic once the sheet is pushed into place. Macotec will also be showcasing the Strato Active 37 (46). The Strato Active table features exceptional ergonomics as Macotec has reinvented the front face of the machine to remove obstructions and reduce the overall bridge size. This unique development allows the operator to move freely in the area and greatly enhances visibility of the operations offering substantial benefits in operator performance and reduced fatigue. Additional features include, a working cycle of 15 seconds, a PVB cutting blade with glass separation control, high precision recirculating ball bearings, self-adjusting working parameters and an on board optimizer.

“Another Promac partner at Glasstec is SoftSolution (Hall 15, F42), who will be demonstrating three revolutionary products which are set to create a huge amount of interest at the show. Their new EdgeScanner has been introduced for glass edge quality inspection. Also, the Spotstop+ which allows a glass cleaning and quality re-inspection and finally the EyeGuide, the latest invention from SoftSoluton helps to speed up your quality control of IG units on the production line. These will be demonstrated alongside their well established products such as Virtual Digitising, SCAD, LineScanner, the CulletScanner and their glass coating and thickness sensor.

“Glasstec continues to be one of the most popular International Trade Fairs and Promac is delighted to be able to support For.El, Macotec and Softsolution as they showcase a range of equipment designed specifically for the production and processing of glass.”
