GED to showcase Intercept Warm Edge Spacer

After an appearance at GlassBuild, Atlanta, USA, where its newly launched Automated Tri-Lite Assembly System (ATLAS), won the ‘Best in Show’ Award, GED Integrated Solutions has confirmed that it is to exhibit at the world’s largest international glass exhibition, Glasstec, in Duesseldorf, Germany, 23 – 26 October 2012.

The focus of the world’s glass industry in October, Glasstec is the unrivalled showcase for proven as well as new ideas in manufacturing technology for glass and IG processing.

Looking to repeat its success with ATLAS through timed working demonstrations held on the stand (Hall 12, C69) throughout the event, GED is optimistic that visitors will fully appreciate the efficiency of a glass fabrication system that automatically produces triple pane IG units in 20-second cycles.

“As a world leader in IG manufacturing technology, we understand that Glasstec is the ideal place to showcase ATLAS,” explains GED President and CEO Bill Weaver. “Triple glazing is rapidly becoming more popular with both specifiers and homeowners alike, but the normal production process is slow, cumbersome, and fraught with potential for handling mishaps. This means the process is costly.”

At Glasstec, the GED stand will also feature its advanced i-3 production line for producing sealed units manufactured from Intercept Warm Edge spacer.

I-3 production is for both the larger and medium-sized IGU and window and door manufacturer who want an advanced warm edge spacer system that offers greater capacity capability with less waste and minimal cost along with a compact design. With a production capacity three times that of conventional lines, i-3 offers exceptional advantages in production that will see a Return On Investment within only 6 months.
