Ultrafab and Tsuchiya Tsco announce long-term technology agreement

A. C. Engelfried, President of Ultrafab, Inc. and Y. Ohara, President of both Tsuchiya Company, Ltd. and its affiliate, Tsuchiya Tsco Company, Ltd., jointly announced today a long-term technology agreement. Under the agreement, Tsuchiya Tsco will utilize Ultrafab's patented/proprietary manufacturing technology to produce pile weatherstrip for the fenestration market in Japan as well as to supply the same product for distribution to Ultrafab's customers elsewhere in the Pacific Rim. Production is scheduled to start at Tsuchiya Tsco this month.

Ultrafab, based in Farmington, New York is produces window and door seals in North America while Tsuchiya Tsco, based in Chiryu-shi, is the market leader in pile weatherstripping in Japan. Each is privately held. The newly formed, long-term relationship will provide both companies the immediate ability to extend their service and product offerings to a very broad customer base.
