GlasNovations supplies world's largest switchable smart glass panel

December 20, 2011: GlasNovations Ltd is proud to announce the delivery of world's largest switchable glass panel to the MetBar restaurant at Metropolitan Hotel, Park Lane, London. This panel comprises of a 4.85m x 2.1m MagicGlas panel made of two sections. Both sections can be individually switched on or off. During normal hours the top section, which is more than 1.4m wide and 4.85m long, is switched on to allow the street traffic the internal views of the newly refurbished Met Bar restaurant, whereas the bottom section stays off to allow for the privacy at the table level. The guests can at the same time, have views of the bustling street while maintaining the privacy of their meal. This prestigious and world first project was delivered in partnership with Blink Glass, London. The project involved supply and installation of over 10 MagicGlas panels. GlasNovations Ltd has been supplying electo-optical technologies since 2007 and are the first UK based company in this field. In 2011, GlasNovations supplied and installed MagicGlas switchable smart glass in various prestigious projects like SMBC, Royal Bank of Scotland and Citibank.
