Its members are national waste management associations covering 20 Member States. They have an approximate 60% share in the household waste market and handle more than 75% of industrial and commercial waste in Europe. Their combined annual turnover is approximately € 54 billion.

The organizer of the Conference is delighted to announce also their new supporter - Waste-to-Energy Research and Technology Council which brings together engineers, scientists and managers from universities and industry. Its mission is to identify and advance the best available waste-to-energy (WTE) technologies for the recovery of energy or fuels from municipal solid wastes and other industrial, agricultural, and forestry residues. Waste-to-energy was identified as one of eight emerging green technologies according to World Economic Forum report in Davos, Switzerland.

In 2010 Netherlands Waste Management Partnership also supported the SAVE THE PLANET Conference. The Dutch Waste Management Sector has much to offer to its clients on foreign markets. Dutch policy in waste management always has focussed on avoiding producing waste, as it represents a cost when having to have it collected and disposed of; and to recover valuable raw materials from any waste, as it represents a substantial income. Hereby the Netherlands has been successful in reducing controlled land filling to close to zero.

The South East European Forum on Waste Management & Recycling will help companies and local governments implicated in the scheme by addressing key topics including Solutions to Recycling and Waste Management for Municipalities; Waste Management Best Practices in Canada; Dutch Approach to Waste Management; Waste to Energy as Part of an International Resource Management, etc. This is the only event that will bring together governmental and municipality representatives, companies, energy providers and carbon management experts from South East Europe to discuss and debate how to reach the Zero Waste society.

South-East European Conference & Exhibition on Waste Management & Recycling is the must-attend event for those charged with developing environmental strategies and their advisers - state administration, municipality representatives, managers and experts in the sectors of waste management and recycling, ecology, construction, engineering services, chemical industry, finance, etc. You can see the topics to be covered at this event here.
