Vistawall: Hoch Auditorium / Budig Hall

 When University of Kansas decided to rebuild the original Hoch Auditorium, which had been destroyed in a fire, several Vistawall Architectural Products were chosen to complete this detailed reconstruction project.
Vistawall systems selected by the construction team included Rugged MS entrances, custom CW-250, HP-175 and Modu-Line zero sightline windows. All systems were used on the exterior of the building, with a clear anodized finish, that accented and gave the natural limestone a uniform "monolithic" look. Outside, 1-inch captured glazing was utilized.
The architect wanted to achieve a "gothic" look and decided to recycle limestone from the original Hoch Auditorium. It was built in the same location as the original hall. Missile-shaped, 12-inch deep mullions were used as a very unique engineered variation of CW-250. They were custom engineered to match the historic building design.
The project manager for Vistawall Architectural Products was Tim Newbrough.
