Landglass: Join Hands With SCHOTT To Create Splendor Together

Landglass Successfully Delivered Combined Force Convection Tempering Furnace to SCHOTT
Upon the combined force convection tempering furnace customized by Landglass for SCHOTT (Suzhou) went into service normally and continuously for nearly three months, SCHOTT (Suzhou) formally confirmed in written form that the said equipment passed the all-sided acceptance and its technical parameters met or exceeded the standards as agreed by and between both parties in the contract. So far, the convection furnace products of Landglass has further accessed to the field of top-end home appliance glass production and become the first choice of top-end tempered glass products after its successful accession to top-end building glass and automobile glass tempering fields!

Precise work
As soon as Landglass concluded the contract on production of combined force convection tempering furnace with SCHOTT (Suzhou), Landglass staffs immediately proceeded to the tense design and production links; after the elaborate work of 89 days and nights, the tempering equipment, with Landglass’ jet heating technology and 3mm tempering technology as core and supported by SIEMENS’ most advanced control system, passed the pre-acceptance at one time made by SCHOTT representative on August 30 at Landglass and arrived at SCHOTT (Suzhou) together with VESUVIUS ceramic rollers characterized with Smartly Driven technology on Sept.7.

Against time
SCHOTT (Suzhou)’s clients are all international celebrated home appliance corporations such as Siemens and LG. With the soaring development of home appliance industry and the increasingly severe competition in recent years, the supporting tempered printed glass panels for these home appliances fall into numerous varieties, even with more demanding requirements on quality! In the case that SCHOTT (Suzhou) hardly found the outsourcing manufacturers meeting their quality requirements, it became the top priority for Landglass and SCHOTT (Suzhou) to enable this equipment to go into service smoothly against time.

The extraordinary labor input and the installation period of 11 hours a day was the answer of Landglass to the customer’s needs. Meanwhile, with the full and efficient cooperation of SCHOTT (Suzhou), the entire equipment was installed at the so extremely fast rate that Technical Manager Umut Ordekcioglu of SCHOTT (Suzhou) exclaimed “so fast”. In this way, under the close cooperation of both parties, Landglass completed the equipment installation and test run half a month in advance and entered into the heating and commissioning stage during National Day Holiday.

Perfect quality
Since most products of SCHOTT (Suzhou) are complicated and multi-color printed tempered products, tiny stains and scratches would become much obvious, while their applications as panels of refrigerator, microwave oven and cooker make SCHOTT (Suzhou) pay extreme attention to the surface quality of tempered product: even the defects hardly to find for common people would be rejected by eagle-eyed SCHOTT (Suzhou) QC staffs without hesitation, which reflects the quality-first, careful and strict philosophy of German enterprises!

However, Landglass’ confidence in combined force convection furnace comes not only from the fact that Landglass has delivered hundreds of those furnaces successfully at home and abroad and its top-end products have occupied the 26% market shares of global top-end products, but also from Landglass’ understanding on printed tempering and specific temperature control configuration and programming for the said equipment. Moreover, Landglass believes that the production monitoring facility additional to the said equipment would lower the work intensity of operators and the excellent operatability and adaptability of its combined tempering equipment would make the production organization of multiple product varieties and multiple specifications as easy as pie!

In Oct., both parties conducted the tempering tests of various printed panels for different home appliances, ranging from 2.85mm to 8mm and LOW-E glass on the said combined force convection furnace successively; the quality indicators of its tempered products, like bow, waviness and granularity, all met or surpassed SCHOTT’s acceptance standards and even the most challenging surface quality requirements were satisfied under the efforts of Landglass staffs! (The details of SCHOTT’s products and acceptance are not improper to describe for their confidentiality.) Frank Karbach, the senior glass deep-processing expert from German headquarters also made the thumbs-up sign!

On Jan. 15, 2010, SCHOTT (Suzhou) formally signed for the said equipment in written form after the continuous running test of nearly three months! Today, all kinds of top-end printed glass fine as artwork and experiencing the tempering of fire and air step into households with glory, and SCHOTT undoubtedly will keep its legend of 125 years in top-end home appliance glass product field!
