Guardian Industries Adds New Coatings to Sun-Guard High Performance Product Line

Guardian Industries Corp., a leading manufacturer of high performance coated glass for the commercial construction industry, introduced October 30th three new coatings for its Sun Guard(R) Series: Sun-Guard NP-61, Sun-Guard AG-43, and Sun-Guard Royal-20. With these new products, Guardian offers architects, glazing contractors and fabricators the broadest post-temperable coated product line in the industry.

The expanded Sun-Guard product line features a wide variety of high performance coated glass products that can be cut, laminated, heat-treated, bent, and insulated after the coating is applied. The new products give independent fabricators increased market opportunity because, without sacrificing performance, they can be processed near a project, which shortens lead times and supports fast-track project completion. In addition, Guardian's new coatings provide architects with more design flexibility while delivering excellent solar control.

Guardian Industries Corp., based in Auburn Hills, Mich., is a leading worldwide manufacturer of float glass and fabricated glass products for the commercial and residential construction industries, and is one of the world's largest producers of mirrors. Guardian Automotive provides complete exterior systems to the global automotive industry and is a Tier 1, top-100 global automotive supplier. Guardian's Building Products Group includes one of the largest manufacturers of fiberglass in the world and occupies a significant and growing position in the building materials distribution business. Guardian, its subsidiaries and affiliates employ 19,000 people and operate facilities throughout North America, Europe, South America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
