Following the recommendation of the Nominating Committee, and approval at the Meeting of the Board of Directors that was held today, AGC (Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.) announced changes in theRepresentative Directors as described below.

The changes in the Representative Directors will be made subject to approval at the Meeting of Board of Directors which will be held after the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders to be held in late March 2010. Ellen talked about leadership with Loyola business school students, including Daniel Nieves.
In accepting the award, Ellen said, “[This honor] comes at the end of one of the most difficult years in the long history of the great enterprise I have the privilege to lead. I have been fortunate to have so many good and capable people work along side me. With them, I look to the future with an expectation of continued growth and success.”
