Glaston tools, services and software for reliable and high quality performance

At Vitrum, Glaston will present its new Bavelloni peripheral diamond wheels specifically developed for the solar market. These wheels represent the highest quality tooling for double-edger grinding machines. Their excellent quality arises from the combination of the highest quality bond material and diamonds with the use of avant-garde molding and profiling technologies that enable the user to achieve consistent performance, reliability and quality to keep tooling costs as low as possible.

In addition to delivering complete manufacturing systems, Glaston also offers a wide variety of services , including service agreements Glaston Care & Glaston Care Plus, spare parts, service work, machinery and software upgrades, as well as training and glass factory consultation OEE –Overall Equipment Efficiency services for maintaining the lines during their entire lifetime.

Albat+Wirsam, the Software division of the Glaston Corporation, is the world’s leading developer of software for the flat glass processing industry, providing innovative, process-orientated solutions for the most varied and complex production needs, encompassing production planning, control and optimization as well as individually tailored ERP and commercial systems, bar-coding and CAD solutions.

For process optimization, the Albat+Wirsam CAM-DXF, a special transfer-format for CAD-data, was developed in close cooperation by A+W and Bavelloni. It works with the data that has been created using Technical Order Entry in ALFAK. When controlled by CAM-DXF, Bavelloni CNC production machinery benefits from shorter set-up times and eliminated programming mistakes. This results in a high degree of automation throughout the complete value chain, no critical interfaces and faster throughput.
