GlassBuild America 2012 A Great Success

GlassBuild America 2012 came to a close today after three days of networking, business deals, new product introductions, and education at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Nearly 6,700 attendees walked the show floor and visited more than 330 exhibitors.

“We are all very pleased with the industry support; the show far exceeded our expectations,” commented Denise Sheehan, Vice President, Industry Events, National Glass Association.

With exhibitors showing everything from window and door components to machinery to decorative and flat glass products, there was something for every attendee on the show floor. Fifty exhibitors were on hand for the first time and the Innovative Products Pavilion featured 52 firms promoting the most cutting edge technology on the market today.

Exhibitors were excited about the quality of attendees at this year’s show.

“We expected to get 6-10 really good leads from the show. We far surpassed that goal this week. What a great show and we are excited to come back next year,” said first-time exhibitor Bradley Finn of Swarfbuster.

The educational forums and seminars enjoyed record attendance. The Window & Door Dealers Alliance Forum, the Glazing Executives Forum, and Solar Symposium all met to packed rooms. Seminars with topics ranging from trends in decorative glass to customer service and the outlook on the commercial and residential markets were very popular as well.

Updates from the 2012 are featured on the show’s website at www.GlassBuildAmerica.com. GlassBuild America returns to the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia from September 10-12, 2013.
