ICBC and Autostock International's Speedy Glass business unit have settled a dispute over auto glass repairs, the insurance corporation said Wednesday.

Speedy Glass has agreed to pay ICBC for waived deductibles and referral fees paid to dealerships and body shops.

A number of glass shops will remain suspended from ICBC's Glass Express program for varying time periods.

The government-owned auto insurer has reinstated supplier status for all Speedy shops.

ICBC president Bill Goble said the senior management team at Autostock and Speedy Glass co-operated fully in the investigation.

"Deductibles play a key role in helping to keep claims costs down and therefore premiums low for all customers," Goble said in a news release.
