Iranian customers have shown remarkable confidence in HORN Glass Industries AG resulting in 4 parallel projects with Zab San, Razi Glass, Mofid Glass and Shishe va Glas.

In addition to container glass, HORN Glass Industries AG affirms its relations with Kaveh Glass Group regarding float glass and improves the mutual fruitful relationship.

The HORN management respects such reliable co-operation with the Iranian customers and strives to support them.

The complete glass know-how from one source

The four internationally leading companies in the container glass industry, Emhart Glass, Horn, MSK and Zippe, have formed a strategic alliance, the so called “Glass-Alliance”. This cooperation serves to a remarkable value for container glass producers and potential customers, thanks to an enlarged offer of products and services.

The scope of offer ranges from the complete container glass production line, including batch plants, mixing and cullet processing, glass melting furnaces, glass forming and inspection, bottle conveying, palletizing and packaging, right through to the engineering and building of turnkey container glass factories and lines, including production start and training, with a unique quality of overall availability for the customer.

The longstanding know-how and experience, as well as the close cooperation of the four companies, ensure that projects are considered in their entirety. The customer gets the complete result from one single source and without any risk of interface or compatibility problems.

Already within a short time a pleasing number of inquiries shows that the Glass-Alliance arouses great interest.

DUALFLAME AC

HORN has developed a new natural gas burner for underport firing at regenerative furnaces. The so called DUALFLAME AC (= Advanced Control) burner works with two nozzles, an inner and an outer nozzle. The burner has two adjustment possibilities: 1- Position of the inner nozzle 2- Gas quantity of inner and o uter nozzle

The inner nozzle can be controlled by a hand wheel at the rear of the burner. Thus the flame can be shaped from soft and wide to sharp and strong.

In addition the DUALFLAME AC burner works with an automatic control of the gas quantity towards the inner and outer nozzle. Therefore gas control valves for each nozzle are installed in the utility equipment. This enables the furnace operator to adjust the flame length automatically in the control room without manual adjustment directly at the burner under the hot burner port.

Beside the automatic adjustment of the burner after a pull change respective gas quantity change the ratio of the gas flow between inner and outer nozzle can be kept precisely constant even when the total gas quantity changes.

Another advantage is the uniform adjustment of two or more burners on each burner port as the gas quantity for the inner and outer nozzle is measured and controlled by the gas valve to each nozzle. This results in absolute identical firing conditions in each firing period for both the left and the right burner port(s).

Finally the DUALFLAME AC burner reduce the NOx-formation of the flame. As the inner and outer nozzles are without any built-in components a gas flow with less turbulences is ensured. Therefore the laminar outflow of the gas at the nozzle head is guaranteed and will prevent NOx-formation.
