With this second and modern furnace, HSGV is implementing Saint-Gobain Reinforcements latest technological developments on the Chinese market and quadrupling its production capacity.

Hangzhou will become the Asian production platform for Saint-Gobain Vetrotex main references: assembled rovings (for SMC, spray up and GMT applications) and chopped strand mats. Yarns for the textile industry and industrial applications will also be produced in the same location. Finally, the Hangzhou plant is helping to develop our range of converted products: Saint-Gobain Technical Fabrics fabrics for abrasives, drywall joint tapes, etc", says Jean-Philippe Buisson (Managing Director, Saint-Gobain Vetrotex, Reinforcements Asia Pacific).
80% of the Hangzhou production is designed for export, thanks to very new, efficient logistics.

In Autumn 2003, Hangzhou Saint-Gobain Vetrotex Fiber Glass Co. Ltd, (HSGV), near Shanghai, will start supplying a competitive range of premium products in large quantities, thanks to the start-up of a new fiberglass furnace inaugurated last July 26th.
