New SunGuard SNX 50 will be available as both an annealed and heat treatable version.

We are very pleased to announce that as of 4th September 2017, Guardian is launching its brand newGuardian® SNX 50.

Its introduction marks the completion of our project to optimise our SunGuardeXtraSelective family of products in terms of their aesthetics and technical performance. New SunGuard SNX 50 will be available as both an annealed and heat treatable version.

It has been developed to provide enhanced aesthetics and color consistency in terms of outside and inside reflection, regardless of the angle of vision, on both our Guardian ExtraClear® float glass (referred to as SunGuardSNX 50) and on Guardian UltraClear™ low-iron float glass (referred to as SunGuard SNX 50 Ultra).

Please note that new SunGuard SNX 50 is intended as a replacement for the current SunGuard SNX 50/23,both annealed and heat treatable.

The aesthetic difference between the old and the new productsprevents their mixed use in the same building. For the 12 months following the launch of new SunGuard SNX 50 (i.e. until September 2018), we willcontinue to have regular production runs of current SunGuard SNX 50/23 that should allow us to:1/ Supply to completion any ongoing projects using the current version of SunGuard SNX 50/23,2/ Ensure the supply of replacement glass if required.

After this first year (i.e. starting 10/2018), our lead-time and terms for the supply of SunGuard SNX50/23 will be adapted to demand levels at that time.

Finally, we would like to emphasise that during the transition period, when both products (new SunGuard SNX 50 and current SunGuard SNX 50/23) are available, great care should be taken during theordering process to ensure you receive the correct product.
