Glaston’s glass processing subsidiary initiates employee co-operation negotiations

On 15 January 2009, the Glaston Corporation subsidiary Tamglass Glass Processing Ltd will initiate statutory employer-employee negotiations under the Act on Co-Determination within Undertakings (YT negotiations) in respect of the adjustment of architectural glass operations to the present market situation.Architectural glass operations currently employ around 110 people in Tampere and Lempäälä.

Details of the impact of the adjustment plan on personnel will be announced when negotiations with personnel representatives have been completed.

In Tamglass Glass Processing’s employee co-operation negotiations that ended on 10 September 2008 it was decided that the glass processing unit closes its working machine and special automotive glass business.
