Glassrobots Finland delivers a flat laminated safety glass processing line to Vietnam. This is the first line of its kind in the country.

The deal was finalised after an international competition bidding between other Finnish, Italian and Asian companies.

Vinaconex company is the first one to start the production of flat laminated safety glass in the country. The products of Vietnam Float Glass will be processed on this new line. Vietnam Float Glass is operating in Hanoi and is a joint-venture factory of the Japanese company NSG and the government of Vietnam.

The new flat laminated glass processing line will be delivered to the customer in the summer 2002, and will be started-up in September 2002.

Vinaconex is a construction company of the government of Vietnam, composed of twelve different companies. The new factory will focus on production of laminated safety glass that will be used in the construction of high buildings to be built in Hanoi. The company has further plans to establish a similar production unit also in the vicinity of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon).

Glassrobots has concluded several contracts concerning laminated safety glass processing lines within the last six months, totalling 4 Meur. That production technology will be mainly delivered to Asian and European customers.
