It will take longer for Swedish American Hospital and the Winnebago County Administration Building to get new windows for their buildings. That's because the intallers for those projects are on the picket line.

Nearly 40 glass workers have been on strike since monday. They could not come to an agreement on a five year contract with their glass contractors.

"Now we're just dealing with an econmic package we're asking for a little more than the living wage we're trying to keep ahead of the game a little bit," says organizer Jamie Davis.

Union members are asking for a four to five percent pay increase each year. The represenative for the glass contractors tells WTVO he does not negotiate contracts through the mediaand will do so at a bargaining table. He adds that he hopes they can come to an agreement at a meeting on Monday.
