Last August CN Glass moved from two small factory workshops in Chipping Norton and Banbury into a single and much larger refurbished premises providing us with the opportunity to expand and improve our complete glass and glazing services to customers both domestic and commercial.

In doing so we commenced on a significant journey of investment into new production machinery to take the manufacturing of insulated glass units to the next level. We took delivery of an automated glass cutting bench and a semi-automatic unit assembly line last year and in the spring of 2015 we have added our own Glass Toughening Plant. This will enable us to reduce lead times and improve quality as well as providing us with seamless continuous production without downtime. Considerable investment into IT programming for glass production has also been made to optimise glass cutting and batch orders together for a substantial increase in daily unit production.

In response to the sustained growth in all areas of the business we now employ nearly 50 staff and we are fully geared up with the machinery, systems and people to deliver the best possible products and customer service.

Trevor Mouat, Managing Director comments “The move to Norton House and the installation of the new machinery has presented us with many challenges to overcome and we have been on a real roller coaster ride so far but it has also been very exciting and rewarding and now with our Glass Toughening Plant just about to start producing our own safety glass the Company is about to be propelled forward again in terms of growth”

Our new Glass Toughening Plant is currently being assembled and will be ready to produce toughened glass May / June 2015.
