Beginning his career with Pilkington Glass in the 1970’s, George has held a number of senior sales and marketing positions, both flat glass manufacture and sealed unit production, and will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Glass Systems Group.Group Managing Director Alan Atkinson comments: “When personnel the calibre of George wants to work for us, it shows how far we have come as a company.There are probably few people in our industry with George’s experience and we welcome him to our organisation.”
Alan continues: “The market has changed dramatically over recent years, with changes in legislation and standards. Product development in coated glasses and spacer bar technology has promoted the demand for high performance sealed units and George’s experience in this area will be invaluable in offering the most effective glass solutions to our customers.”
George will be predominantly working for Glass Systems Direct Ltd and Climate, the conservatory roof glass division; and will be looking to develop and grow existing and new accounts. He is delighted to be joining the UK’S largest independent sealed unit manufacture and sees this as a great opportunity to be part of the group’s continued expansion.
