Glass supplier C.R. Laurence buys Secaucus site for $18M

A large glass supplier has bought a 146,000-square-foot industrial building in Secaucus, where it plans to expand and relocate from within the town, for $18 million.   C.R.

Laurence Co. is moving to 60-70 Seaview Drive from its current facility at 211 County Ave. in Secaucus, Cushman & Wakefield Inc. said Monday. The real estate firm represented both buyer C.R. Laurence and seller Principal Real Estate Investors in the sale.

Cushman & Wakefield didn't disclose the price, but it was an $18 million deal that closed on Dec. 27, according CoStar, which tracks commercial real estate. C.R. Laurence is now selling the property it is vacating for more than $5 million, according to the data firm.

C.R. Laurence - which provides glass and other materials to the glazing, architectural, railing, construction, industrial and automotive industries - will get an additional 100,000 square feet by making the move, according to Cushman.
