Rotherham-based Solaglas Windowcare is gaining national prominence by announcing the company is to be a sponsor at the prestigious British Insurance Awards, which takes place at the Royal Albert Hall in London on July 4, 2007.

The British Insurance Awards recognise excellence and the importance of improving standards right across the industry.

Ian Davy, managing director at Solaglas Windowcare, which employs more than 300 people and has its headquarters at Hellaby, near Rotherham said: “The British Insurance Awards are known as the ‘Oscars’ of the insurance industry and have increasingly come to represent the gold standard for service and quality excellence.

“Reputation through quality, and particularly through customer service, remains a key issue for the industry. These awards help to raise standards and showcase those new higher standards to both the industry and its customers. We have a range of high-profile insurance clients and this gives us an opportunity to not only raise our profile, but also celebrate their successes.”

Solaglas Windowcare is part of global glass giant Saint-Gobain’s UK operation. The company recently announced its intention to grow the business and last month launched a new identity in a move to associate itself closer with its French parent.

The company provides a 24/7 nationwide service, specialising in domestic and commercial emergency glazing and out-of-hours contact centre services from its main office in South Yorkshire.
