Production is suffering a temporary halt at a long-established glass manufacturing plant operated by of R-Glass Hungary in Salgótarján due to a dispute with the factory's natural gas supplier, wire service MTI-Eco reported.
The plant's contract with energy company Emfesz expired on July 1, and the former partners have not yet been able to reach agreement on overdue gas bills and future cooperation; for this reason Emfesz turned off the tap yesterday morning. R-Glass claims to have received competing bids from 3 other gas suppliers and is therefore expecting to sign a new contract today.
