That corresponds to a standard load that we deliver to customers every day. But how does the fragile product actually get to the inloader? Let's start from the beginning:
At the conclusion of the float glass production, a lifting suction system transports the panes off the line. The large-format glass lands gently on the waiting empty frames. This is where our glass transporters come into play. Once the frame is full, they takes the freshly produced glass to the permanent warehouse or directly to the gate for collection. The glass transporters can lift loads of up to 33 tonnes.
We use side-loading fork-lifters to take the raw glass to our finishing lines for further processing and to pack customer orders with mixed glass thicknesses.
Prerequisite for the operation of the vehicles is a fork-lifter driving licence and subsequent internal training. This takes up to ten weeks depending on the device. The operator needs a very sensitive touch so that the glass is always placed perfectly.
