Glass giant forming

CE-Europe’s largest glass factory could emerge in Székesfehérvár, western Hungary, as glass maker Jüllich Glas Holding is poised to build a 11,000 sqm plant in a multi-phase project.

Aimed to produce primarily for the German, Austrian, Czech, Spanish, Polish markets, the new facility will cost the Hungarian glass maker Ft 1.5 billion in all and will create some 100-150 new jobs. Jüllich Glas in its present form was set up in 2002 and today has 11 member companies across the country. The group had turnover of Ft 8 billion last year.
