The company will create an estimated 200 manufacturing jobs for the Pittsburgh metro beginning next year, with the goal of growing that number to at least 300, according to the company.Flabeg is leasing a 209,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that is being built at Clinton Commerce Park. The building will be constructed in two phases.
Construction on the first phase began late last year, and the company is expected to begin operations there in October. The total investment in both phases of the project is anticipated to be $30 million.
Demand is high for Flabeg’s parabolic solar mirror product, with many orders coming from yet-to-be-built solar plants in hot-weather markets such as the Southwest United States and the Far East, according to the company.
