The Glass Association of North America (GANA) has released the eleventh and latest in a series of Glass Information Bulletins aimed at providing technical information and education to consumers and the architectural fenestration industry.
The newest bulletins, Suggested Procedures for Dealing with Broken Glass, focuses on the importance of safety considerations and prompt glass replacement in the event of breakage.
“Breakage of architectural glass can occur for a number of reasons and in each case creates conditions that pose a risk of injury and property damage,” explained Greg Carney, GANA Technical Director. “The bulletin explains that even if broken glass remains in the opening, there has been a reduction of strength and immediate replacement is needed.”
