“We’ve gone out of our way to reach out to all those achievers from 2020 as well as ’21,” said organiser Tony Higgin, “and the result is a unique event with almost double the candidates and a range of achievements as never seen before.
“These two years have been the most turbulent ever for the industry, when even the dreaded pandemic proved to be only the first of many unforeseen trials. They have brought out the best of the best to rise to those challenges and the G21 Awards are the ideal opportunity for them to step up and receive the recognition they deserve.”
It was a tough decision not to go virtual with a substitute event last year, he added: “But everyone told us half the buzz of the G-Awards is about being there and being a part of it all – and the response to this year’s event has shown it to be the right choice.”
More than 70 people, products and companies are in this year’s line-up of finalists, which this year also includes the Covid-19 Business Hero category as well as the Unsung Hero trophy which was introduced at the G19 event.
The G21 Awards trophy winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner and Award event at the London Hilton Park Lane on Friday November 26. A small number of tables are still available, but they will not be around forever.
