Fanelli To Retire From PPG 30-year Veteran Of Glass Industry

PITTSBURGH, June 11, 2009; PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) announced the retirement of Mark Fanelli, director of sales, performance glazings, effective June 1.During a 30-year career with PPG, Fanelli held a variety of leadership roles in manufacturing, quality, marketing and sales.

Most recently, he led the development of the PPG Certified Fabricator Network (PPG/CFP), which is one of the architectural glass industry’s most innovative and successful supplier certification programs.

In making the announcement, Gary R. Danowski, vice president, performance glazings, praised Fanelli’s “can-do” attitude and said PPG would miss his “enthusiasm, ease of developing relationships, command of details, sense of humor and dedication to PPG and its customers.”

Before becoming director of sales, performance glazings, Fanelli served as director of new products, flat glass, and director of production, automotive OEM glass. He will be replaced by Mark Seeton, formerly sales manager, performance glazings.
