DUBAI (United Arab Emirates): Emirates GlassEmirates Glass LLC (EGLEGL), one of the leading processors of architectural flat glass in the Middle East and a subsidiary of Glass LLC, wholly owned by Dubai Investments (DI), has announced that its new AED 100 million glass coating line has commenced operations earlier this month and is now online.
The Terra G coating line is set to boost EGLEGL's manufacturing capacity threefold up to 3.5 million square metres of flat glass products per annum.
The new coating facility began production for the first time on September 13th, 2009, the new glass coating line underwent installation at EGLEGL's manufacturing facilities in June at the Dubai Investments Park, which also houses the company's multimillion-dirham headquarters. This production facility upgrade has been sourced from Germany and is part of an overall expansion programme worth AED 175 million as the company relocates its entire operations to the Dubai Investments Park.
