Suppliers from every facet of the glassmaking process will be present at Glassman Europe 2003 to provide technically innovative solutions and cutting-edge expertise to container manufacturers.

The exhibition, which will take place on May 14 – 15 at the CNIT Conference & Exhibition Centre in Paris, offers the perfect forum for previewing the latest equipment and technology within the industry. At Glassman Europe, Emhart Glass will introduce its new 340 Forehearth designed to provide thermal conditioning for production lines requiring a wide tonnage range. Employing a unique simultaneous dual cooling system, the 340 can accurately control the degree and direction of the heating and cooling inputs to the glass thus allowing for a wider operating range of control. The 340 design is currently on field trial in 36-inch width and has shown an increase in cooling capacity at high tonnage.Another recent innovation is the Azlac 321 refractory material, which is specially formulated to withstand the highly corrosive environments, associated with oxy-firing furnaces and other highly demanding applications. In field trials of refractory expendables, it has been demonstrated that Azlac 321 can extend service life by as much as 400% when compared to standard bonded AZS compositions. Azlac 321 is one of the most appealing new materials on the market.Suppliers from every facet of the glassmaking process will be present at Glassman Europe 2003 to provide technically innovative solutions and cutting-edge expertise to container manufacturers.
