Emhart Glass had another very successful show at Glasstec 2002 in Dusseldorf, Germany. The company highlighted its strength as a complete system supplier to the glass container industry.

In addition, as a research and innovation oriented company, we are always looking to the next horizon. Two of our latest innovations are the Veritas™ inspection system and the Next Generation IS Machine (NIS™), and some of the benefits of these technologies are as follows:

Benefits of Veritas

-Failsafe monitoring system ensures positive rejection of defective containers
-Fast job changes with fewer job change parts
-Reduced wear parts for lower parts and maintenance cost
-Intuitive touchscreen graphical user interface
-Unmatched data management and transmission
-Easy and secure remote access

Benefits of NIS

-Increased container output with fewer lines and sections
-Lower inventory requirements
-Increased tonnage pull per line and section
-Lower energy costs
-Reduced noise levels leading to an improved working environment
-Simpler operation with servo-electric controls for more precise mechanism movements
-Increased mold life

In addition to the show, a group of over 130 glass container executives visited our nearby Emhart Glass facility in Neuss on Tuesday the 29th of October. The symposium for glassmakers featured presentations relevant to the glass packaging industry, NIS forum, and product tours.
