Emhart Glass exhibited in the Glass India trade show at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The company's representatives found that the two-day event was well attended by the many glass manufacturers from India and the surrounding region.

One of the show's seminars featured a presentation by Emhart Glass' Ken Paul on recent advances in gob forming. The Emhart Glass booth was crowded with many new and old friends that stopped to say "hello" and to learn about the company's latest product developments.

During the course of these meetings, it was reported that the glass container price in India had risen 15% in recent times, and that this increase was providing funding for capital equipment upgrades. It was clear from the discussions that Indian glass manufacturers are in an expansion mode, and with the additional cash being generated, they are poised to advance their technology and increase their presence in the global market.

Emhart Glass was very encouraged by the interest shown during the event, and they consider the growing and optimistic Indian glass industry a market to watch.
