The Managing Director of Sphinx Glass has declared that processing high quality flat glass will witness a strong growth in Egypt within the upcoming years, in the light of the domestic economic growth as well as growth in exports, especially to emerging markets in Africa, MENA and Southern Europe.

This growth demand for the processing of high quality flat glass is mandatory for the construction, real estate and automotive industry, as well as for exporting to emerging markets and is likely to lead to a doubling in the production capacity within 2-3 years.          "The total production of processing high quality flat glass in Egypt has increased rapidly through the last 3 years, which is a clear indication of the great intensification of its production and placing glass forward as an important player on the world stage” he said.          “Such positive comments show the true optimism pervading the entire Middle East glass industry” says Derek Burston, exhibition director, Gulf Glass 2013.           “This is why we are seeing record levels of participation at this year’s event, as companies the World over realize that Dubai is not only in the heart of a dynamic region, but is also a perfect global meeting place for both East and West, being a lot easier to access than many of the more traditional venues for glass shows at that time of the year” he adds.          Although this is the 5th edition of Gulf Glass 2013, it is the first time it is making its debut at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 3-5 September.Positioned in the interim year to Glasstec, this year’s exhibition is already ahead of any other previous edition, and is set to be the most important glass industry exhibition from a global visitation perspective this year.
