Eagle Glass Specialties Inc. has met the ISO requirements for a quality management system, said Gwen Kohut, vice president and general manager of the company. The result of the certification will hopefully mean a sales increase.Buyers often have more faith in ISO-certified companies, she said.
ISO works with 147 countries to create national standards in international organizations, governments, industries and businesses.
Certification moves the company to new level, said Mark Messenger, a sales engineer.
"It's definitely a great tool that sets us apart from other companies that aren't certified," Messenger said.
The company worked for two years to achieve certification, he said. Its success can be attributed to good training and hard work, he said.
