For the third consecutive year, DuPont Malaysia is improving the lives of rural students through an education outreach program.

Two of the schools benefiting from the program are located in areas where DuPont Crop Protection operates.

Approximately 350 students and 20 teachers recently attended a talk by Hushim Hj Salleh, a motivational speaker and lecturer from the University of Malaysia. After the talk, students participated in a "recall" process – aimed at developing skills in mathematics, science, and English.

The session is one in a series of programs planned for this year. Other outreach activities include science camps and competitions. DuPont Malaysia also sponsors monthly tuition for these children.

"This is a good way to motivate children to perform well. It affords the children the opportunity to realize their potential," said Hapiz Abdullah, managing director – DuPont Malaysia.
