The ceremony, which was held at Wat Polmanee School of the Lad Krabang District, was run by the deputy governor of Bangkok.
The goal was to provide safe playgrounds with quality equipment and proper installation for children ages 3-7. DuPont received guidance from the Ramathibodi Hospital's Child Safety Promotion and Injury Prevention Research Center on the criteria regarding the school selection process as well as safety requirements and standards for the playgrounds.
"We have implemented this campaign to raise safety awareness among the Thai community, especially the safety for children," said Montri Simagrai, managing director, DuPont Thailand. "We hope that the playgrounds will be used as a model for all school and community recreation areas in Bangkok."

DuPont Thailand also organized a safety workshop for 60 local teachers, informing them of ways to keep the new playgrounds safe.
