A backdrop of a mountain panorama, digitally printed on glass, forms the stylish backdrop for the banking business.A technically and logistically challenging object in which the CLIMAplusSECURIT partner GVG Deggendorf and Glasbiegerei Döring created a design highlight.
Customers who enter the branch of the Raiffeisen Bank Walenstadt in the canton of St. Gallen which, following its after renovation, was re-opened at the end of 2013, are greeted by a welcoming and at the same time imposing aatmosphere: behind furnishings made of rustic native elm veneer, an 18-meter-long glass wall which shows the impressive panorama of Churfirsten mountains, catches the eye. The outstanding feature of the limestone mountain range which, as part of the Appenzeller Alps extends southwards to the Walensee, are its six approximately equally high peaks and their broken ridges. It was exactly these peaks which the CLIMAplusSECURIT partner GVG Deggendorf printed as graphically-reduced dot raster images on the glass sheets, which were installed as the joint-free all-glass system CLIP-IN SILENCE. Starting as a flat surface at the back of the bank branch, the glass partition spreads in the centre of the room via two curves into the front area of the adjoining rooms. The required bending and laminating of the already printed glass elements was done by Glasbiegerei Döring GmbH, before the entire system was delivered for installation in Switzerland.
