Where renowned institutes are still developing, Kugler has already started job order production!Kugler, as one of the first manufacturers worldwide, is now able to machine glass or steel in optical quality.

A brand new production method allows economical manufacture of optical mold surfaces in glass (BK7) or hardened materials, such as tool steel (Stavax) or tungsten carbide in almost any size.In merging both ultra-precision production possibilities and the new machining process, Kugler has set new standards in diamond cutting and reached another milestone in the high-precision manufacture of optical surfaces. Kugler applies the new method on its ultra-precision hydrostatic multi-axis machines for the production of typical components like optical (freeform) surfaces in glass or hardened steel for the optical and mold-making industries.
