Dendura, the stabilised timber window and door specialist, has switched to Edgetech’s Super Spacer Warm Edge Technology, and signed up to the Super Spacer Dealership.

Edgetech is the only dedicated manufacturer of Warm Edge Technology in the UK.

Dendura buys in its sealed units from Oakland Glass and switched from another Warm Edge Technology to Super Spacer to ensure its customers were getting the best possible quality products. Karl Smith, General Manager of Dendura explains: "We’ve been working with Oakland Glass for 9 months now and can’t say enough good things about the company, its super products and outstanding service. We are told time and time again by our customers that we sell the best window and folding sliding doors they have ever seen and offer the best after sales service, so it’s vital that we work with suppliers that offer us the same. That is why when Oakland presented Super Spacer as an alternative to the Warm Edge Technology we were using, we could immediately see how it would benefit our offering. Super Spacer looks better in the finished product, offers fantastic energy saving benefits and is backed up by superb marketing materials.

"Signing up to the Super Spacer Dealership was an extension of our commitment to the Super Spacer product. We work with several different types of customers from Architects and Specifiers to Local Authorities and Self Build customers. The support we get from Edgetech helps us talk to each of these customer groups at their level of knowledge and understanding, which is crucial in winning new business. The different types of customers we work with also means we are required to do a large variety of shaped units. We haven’t come across one application so far that Super Spacer couldn’t cope with. This is particularly important for the specialised work we do on for example barn conversions."

Karl continues: "Dendura has remained extremely busy through the downturn that the rest of the building and window industries have witnessed and put this down to the outstanding quality of our products and service and working with the right suppliers."

Established 12 years ago, Dendura was set up by partners that had both worked in the building industry and had struggled to find windows to meet all of their expectations. Neal Stevenson and Sam Warrington decided there was a gap in the market for a high quality timber window company that offers superb service to match. Dendura mainly manufactures Oak windows although can produce other hard or softwood alternatives. The company stabilises, or laminates, the timber in-house to ensure it has full control over all the manufacturing processes, to ensure their high quality standards are met. Karl concludes: "The Dendura factory is impressive and the entire team from management to the factory floor is committed to delivering the highest standards for our customers. That is why we are able to achieve such high levels of customer satisfaction and continue to grow in such tough market conditions."
