Decision-makers to gather at the 17th international trade fair for the glass industry

Optimised processes and their products, current trends and forward-looking technologies in the glass industry will form the focal areas at glasstec 2002.

From 28 October to 1 November, the sparkle and countless applications of glass as a material will attract some 50,000 trade visitors to the five-day event. Conventional processing methods will share the stage with the full spectrum of innovative applications.

An attractive ancillary programme tops off the trade fair covering Halls 9 to 17 of the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Center. Handcraft stands can be found in Hall 9, while in Halls 10 and 11 the glass industry will display new machines, equipment and methods for the production and processing of glass. The latest in plant and machinery manufacture will be presented in Halls 12 to 17.

The multifaceted uses of glass will be explored in the special show “glass technology live“. This year, the central theme of the show is, “Transparency as an aesthetic architectural concept”. In conjunction with a unique product show, new and sometimes visionary prospects for the use and integration of glass will be unveiled.
