John Frey, an industry veteran with 47 years of experience solving storefront and curtain wall design challenges, will continue on in the industry as chief design engineer for U.

S. Aluminum, a division of C.R. Laurence.

"We are delighted to have John on board with his top-notch design capabilities and deep experience. Prior to joining USAL earlier this year, John was chief design engineer for the past 47 years for International Aluminum Corp. and its subsidiaries, including Intex, International Window Corp., Raco Interior Products and USAL," said Lloyd Talbert, CRL presidente.

"For USAL, John was responsible for designing center and offset glazed, curtain wall, blast and impact windows, terrace (balcony) doors, and meeting all energy requirements required by International Building Codes and by the IECC. Frey is a brilliant engineer with a deep sense of mission, closely listening to his customers and creating designs that delight glass shops and glass contractors, and that enable architects to leave their own unique signatures on their projects," Talbert continued.
